How much salt is in the ocean?

The amount of salt in the ocean, known as salinity, is a measure of the of the amount of salt (in grams) dissolved in 1000 grams of water. So, the amount is expressed as parts per thousands.salt-773845

Refractometers are a tool used to measure the amount of salinity in the ocean.

Those number are FAR too low.

    Using numbers I found online:
With 1,386,000,000 cubic kilometers of water worldwide (97% of which is in the oceans) at 32-35 grams of salt / 1000 grams of ocean water that comes to something like 44,769,186 cubic kilometers of salt!
